🥖 Hearty & Healthy: Flaxseed Bread Recipe
If you’re looking for a wholesome, homemade bread that’s packed with nutrition and flavor, this Flaxseed Bread with Yeast is about to become a staple in your kitchen. With a soft crumb, a slightly nutty bite, and a beautiful crust, it’s the kind of bread that tastes like comfort — and feels good for your body, too.
💪 Why Flaxseed?
Flaxseeds are small but mighty. Rich in omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, and plant-based protein, they support digestion, heart health, and energy levels. Ground flaxseed (also known as flaxseed meal) blends beautifully into bread dough, adding a mild, nutty flavor and a subtle boost of texture.
And when you combine it with whole wheat flour, you get a loaf that’s both nourishing and satisfying.
🍞 Flaxseed Bread with Yeast: The Recipe
This version uses a mix of whole wheat and bread flour, active dry yeast, and a generous helping of ground flaxseed. It’s a traditional rise-and-bake loaf — no kneading machines necessary — and perfect for everyday meals.
🧊 Storage Tips
- Room temp in a airtight container for up to 4 days
- Freeze slices in a zip-top bag for easy toast-on-demand (they go straight into the toaster!)
