190g Milk (Lukewarm)
7g Instant Dry Yeast
40g Sugar
1 Egg
350g Strong white bread flour, plus extra for dusting
40g Soft Butter
4g Salt
Directions
- Pour the lukewarm milk in a bowl
- Add Instant dry yeast. Stir milk and yeast
- Add sugar and egg
- Add about 1/2 of Bread flour and mix to incorporate flour
- Add the remaining bread flour
- Mix to form a dough. Knead in soft butter and salt
- Knead dough for 8 – 10 minutes until more elastic and smooth
- Cover with cling film and allow to rise for 1 hour
- Dust work surface with little flour
- Divide dough into 9 equal pieces. Round the dough into a ball
- Cover with cling film to prevent dough from drying and rest for 15 minutes
- Round again, then place rolls into a lightly greased pan
- Cover and allow to proof for an hour. Brush rolls with milk
- Bake in a pre-heated oven at 175°C for 25 minutes
- Remove from oven and brush with melted butter
- Allow to cool on a wire rack. ENJOY!
